About Jump Start Tutors Jump Start Tutors is a South Florida-based educational services company that has been supporting families, schools, and school districts for the past 8 years. We work with K-12 students across public and private schools, including schools within Miami-Dade, providing academic support, reading and math intervention, homework help, and personalized tutoring services. Our goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and make measurable academic progress. Position Overview Jump Start Tutors is hiring reliable and committed tutors to provide in-person academic support to K-12 students in Miami-Dade County. Tutors will primarily support students in reading and math intervention, working either one-on-one or in small group settings. We are looking for tutors who are professional, patient, consistent, and able to work well with students who may need additional academic support and encouragement.
Schedule Tutoring opportunities are available:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM and/or Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM All sessions are currently in person. Candidates do not need to be available for both time blocks, but consistent weekly availability is required. Responsibilities Provide reading and/or math tutoring to K-12 students Support students with academic intervention and skill-building Follow student learning goals and provided instructional guidance Maintain professionalism and consistency with assigned students and schools Track attendance and session notes as required Communicate clearly with the Jump Start team regarding schedule, attendance, and student progress Arrive on time and maintain a dependable weekly schedule Requirements Bachelor's degree required Experience working with K-12 students Strong reading and/or math skills Reliable transportation for in-person sessions Consistent availability during the school day and/or after-school hours Strong communication and professionalism Ability to complete required background screening/fingerprinting Ability to commit to a regular tutoring schedule Preferred Qualifications Prior tutoring or teaching experience Experience working with ESE students or students with learning differences Degree in Education, Psychology, English, Math, Social Work, or a related field preferred Experience with reading or math intervention Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Why Join Jump Start Tutors?
