They are dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a love of learning among diverse student populations. After-School Math Tutor - Grades 3-8 Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School is seeking enthusiastic and dependable After-School Math Tutors to provide small-group math intervention for scholars in grades 3-8. Position Overview Math Tutors will work with small groups of approximately 5-8 scholars who need additional support strengthening foundational math skills and addressing learning gaps. This program is focused primarily on remediation and skill development. Catalyst Circle Rock will provide tutors with instructional resources, a scope and sequence, and guidance to support effective instruction. Responsibilities Math Tutors will be responsible for: Providing small-group math instruction to scholars in grades 3-8 Delivering targeted mini-lessons aligned to the provided scope and sequence Supporting scholars with foundational skills and identified areas for remediation Using provided instructional resources and materials Checking for understanding and adjusting support based on scholar needs Progress monitoring scholars approximately every 2-3 weeks Maintaining a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment Communicating scholar progress and areas of concern with program leadership Qualifications Candidates must: Have a high school diploma or equivalent Have the ability to effectively support math instruction for scholars in grades 3-8 Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Be dependable, patient, and able to build positive relationships with scholars Be able to follow an established scope and sequence while adjusting support to meet scholar needs Some college experience or a college degree is preferred. Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or experience working with school-aged children is also preferred.
