Math & Science Tutor Cedar Tutoring Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Math & Science Tutor to join our team. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with students and can explain challenging concepts in a clear, patient, and engaging way. Our tutors work with students at a variety of grade levels in a supportive, small-group and one-on-one learning environment. Responsibilities Tutor students in math and/or science based on your areas of expertise. Provide instruction in subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics. Help students with homework, test preparation, and strengthening foundational skills. Explain concepts clearly and adjust teaching methods based on each student's learning needs. Identify areas where students need additional support and provide targeted practice. Help students develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and effective study habits. Communicate student progress and concerns with Cedar Tutoring Academy staff. Maintain a positive, patient, and professional learning environment. Qualifications Strong background in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Education, or a related field . College students, college graduates, graduate students, teachers, and experienced tutors are encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of at least one or more middle school, high school, AP, or college-level math/science subjects. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred. Ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple and understandable way. Patient, dependable, professional, and comfortable working with children and teenagers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students at different academic levels. ACT, SAT, and AP courses About the Position This is a part-time tutoring position with opportunities to work with multiple students and grade levels. Tutors may be assigned students based on their academic strengths, experience, and availability.
