Job Description

Tutor Doctor Mansfield, Easton & West Brockton is a locally owned and operated tutoring service that pairs students with the right tutor based on their unique learning style and goals. We serve K-12 students, college students, and adult learners across Mansfield, Easton, West Brockton, and surrounding communities. About the role We are looking for a passionate reading specialist or experienced literacy tutor to deliver 1:1 and small-group reading instruction to students of all ages. You'll work with students ranging from early readers building foundational phonics skills all the way through high schoolers preparing for MCAS or SAT reading sections. This is a high-impact, flexible role. What you'll do Deliver personalized 1:1 literacy and reading instruction in-home Assess each student's reading level and tailor your approach to their specific needs and goals Teach phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension strategies Support students with dyslexia, learning differences, or IEP reading goals Maintain brief session notes and communicate student progress to our team and families What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in education, reading, literacy, child development, or a related field (in progress or completed) Reading specialist licensure, CERI/CALT certification, or Orton-Gillingham training is a strong plus! Experience working with struggling readers, students with dyslexia, or early elementary learners Familiarity with Science of Reading principles, structured literacy, and evidence-based intervention approaches Patient, encouraging teaching style with the ability to adapt to different learning profiles Reliable transportation Ability to pass a state and federal background check Compensation & benefits $22-$28/hour, commensurate with experience and credentials Fully flexible schedule — work as many or as few hours as you'd like, when it works for you Tutor matching handled by our team — no client acquisition or marketing required Meaningful impact on students' confidence, independence, and lifelong relationship with reading

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
