Join Our Team as a Tutor at Apt Tutoring, Test Prep & College Counseling in Hingham, MA! For over 15 years, Apt Tutoring, Test Prep & College Counseling has been dedicated to guiding middle and high school students to academic success and transition to college. We specialize in test preparation for private school and college admissions, as well as subject-specific tutoring. We are looking for passionate tutors to join our dynamic team! Why Work with Us?
Competitive Pay:
Starting at $40+/hour, based on your education, experience, and availability.
Flexible Scheduling:
Work around your schedule. Our students are available weekday afternoons and evenings during the school year, and mornings and afternoons during the summer. Focus on

Work with as many students as you want in the subjects you're passionate about—no administrative work required, we handle the scheduling for you.

Initial Role and Responsibilities Include:
Deliver High-Quality Tutoring:
Provide personalized test prep sessions for SAT, ACT, SSAT, or ISEE.
Session Documentation:
Promptly complete accurate session notes.
Innovate Curriculum:
Contribute to the development of our educational materials.
Ideal Candidate:
Educational Background:
Holds a B.A. degree (required).
Commitment:
Able to start immediately and commit to the 2026-2027 academic year with a consistent weekly schedule.
References:
Provide 3-4 references who can vouch for your teaching/tutoring skills and interpersonal abilities.
Personal Qualities:
Outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, patient, flexible, organized, prompt, and adaptable.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Subject Mastery:
Expertise in the subjects you wish to tutor and the ability to teach them to a diverse range of students.
Tech Savvy:
Capable of quickly learning new technology and apps.
Experience:
Teaching, classroom experience, and tutoring experience are preferred but not required.
