Job Overview Join a team of educators and martial artists that want to affect the education of students in Fort Washington in a dramatic way. We are looking for a highly qualified after school tutors that want part time work in math and other school related topics. This job is perfect for high school and early college students that excel in academics and have the grades to prove it! Daily you will assist our head tutor in giving one on one instruction to children who arrive at our facility with homework requirements. In addition, students will need work on math and reading. Our program is comprehensive in the education sphere, and those who start now will have near full time work hours available in the summer. Responsibilities Deliver personalized tutoring sessions across various subjects, including literacy, math, science, and social studies, tailored to each student's needs. Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote active learning. Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance student engagement and understanding. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive environment. Support students with special education needs by adapting instructional strategies and providing additional assistance as needed. Requirements Strong grades with a plus if those grades are related to math or other STEM classes Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital educational platforms. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, including early childhood education and preschool experience. Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents confidently. Passion for education, patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to student engagement.
