About the student 1st grade student The student needs to work with a tutor for support with ELA; specifically reading & writing. The family is asking for a tutor who has experience working with students with autism and speech delays. The student is a 1st grader attending Paragon Charter Academy. The student is autistic and has a speech delay. She has recently started 1st grade and needs help developing basic writing skills. The goals are to help her start writing, improve her basic writing abilities, excel in school, and build confidence so she can keep up with her peers. The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week between 2pm-5pm on Tuesday and Friday. The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in the outskirts of Jackson not far from Stony Lake. Qualifications Ideal candidates have prior experience working with elementary students. Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching/tutoring ELA. Ideal candidates will have experience working with students with autism & speech delays. Ideal candidates will have a teaching certification. Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles) Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor. Student Availability
