We are seeking a dedicated and energetic K-12 Tutor for our Kids Club program, serving school-age children (ages 5 to 12). This is not your average desk job! Academic Enrichment:
Guide and motivate students as they work through IXL learning modules. You will help clarify concepts, keep students on task, and track their daily academic progress. 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM |
Lunch:
Serve the children their center-prepared meal and clean-up. 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM |
High-Energy Fun:
Actively monitor/supervise the children to ensure safety and fun during indoor/outdoor physical activities and field trips. School Year Daily Schedule (Split Shift) 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM |
Breakfast:
Serve the children their center-prepared meal and clean-up. Supervise and engage with the children until they leave on our program bus/van for transportation to school. 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM |
Arrival/Supper:
Greet/interact with children as they arrive from after-school transportation. Serve the children their center-prepared meal and clean-up. 4:00-6:00 PM |
IXL Online Learning or Program Sports:
Our weekly schedule rotates between 3 days of IXL and 2 days of physical activity. For IXL, you will guide and motivate students as they work through learning modules. You will help clarify concepts, keep students on task, and track their daily academic progress. For physical activities, you will supervise and assist with sports led by our coach at a location offsite. Duties Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various subjects aligned with curriculum standards. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles. Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance instruction and student engagement. Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment during academic time, outdoor time, and field trips. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and productive environment. Assess student progress regularly and communicate updates to parents or guardians. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to coordinate educational goals. Incorporate special education strategies when working with students requiring additional support. Foster a positive attitude towards learning and encourage student motivation. Requirements Associates Degree in Education or Youth Development Associate. Experience with children, including classroom management, tutoring, or childcare roles. Background in early childhood education, preschool experience, or classroom experience preferred. Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and learning technology tools. Familiarity with special education needs and accommodations is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and abilities. Passion for education and helping students succeed academically and socially. Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you willing to work a split shift during the school year and a full, 8 hour shift during the summer?
