DURING THE SCHOOL DAY
in Asheville City Schools. To follow the high impact tutoring model, you will work at least 3 days a week, in-person with 1-3 students for 30 minutes at a time. This work will support K-5 students with their foundational literacy skills. Tutors will focus on the five pillars of reading: phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. You will become a part-time employee of Asheville City Schools, and as such will be paid hourly. All tutors will participate in required professional learning during the school year. A paid initial training will be required upon employment start date.
