Staff/Administration, Academic Year, Academic Success, Campus Based Summary Meets with students individually or in small groups to provide academic support related to course content, course-related readings and course-related written assignments so students can successfully complete their coursework; as well as provides instruction, teaching and guidance in the area of academic success skills Essential Job Functions Tutors students on specific course content, course-related readings and course-related written assignments Tutors students in the area of academic success skills (e.g. learning strategies, time management, etc.) Coordinates tutoring goals with advisers, academic counselors and faculty to effectively meet student needs Attends tutor training sessions and staff meetings, as applicable Administers individualized tests to students with accommodations Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor's degree Experience with tutoring or teaching mathematics, including developmental mathematics, algebra, calculus, quantitative analysis, and statistics Preferred Qualifications Experience with tutoring or teaching college students Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations Ability to explain and comprehend mathematical problems, concepts and processes and communicate and explain mathematical knowledge effectively to students with varying levels of preparationPlease Note:
