We are looking for a friendly and responsible Math & ELA Homework Support Assistant to help students in Grades 2-8 with their daily homework and academic questions. This is a part-time position with flexible weekday scheduling , making it a great opportunity for college students or others looking for part-time experience in education and working with children. Previous teaching or tutoring experience is not required. We provide guidance, materials, and support to help our team members succeed. Responsibilities Assist students in Grades 2-8 with Math and ELA homework Help students understand homework questions and challenging concepts Review completed assignments and help students identify and correct mistakes Explain Math and ELA concepts clearly and patiently Help students stay organized and focused on their assignments Encourage good study habits and independent learning Provide additional academic support when needed Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment Communicate with instructors and staff regarding student needs Qualifications Strong understanding of elementary and middle school Math and ELA Comfortable assisting with Math through Grade 8 Fluent in English with strong verbal communication skills Able to explain academic concepts clearly and effectively in English Patient, responsible, dependable, and positive Enjoys working with children Comfortable working with students in a small-group learning environment Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or experience working with children is a plus, but not required Who This Position May Be a Good Fit For This position may be especially suitable for college students or individuals looking for part-time experience in education, tutoring, or working with children.
