Hourly[HR] Pay Rate $21 $22 . 36 05 /hr Overview The College is seeking a pool of applicants for hourly Academic Tutor positions for the Writing Center at the Lincroft main campus. Responsibilities Responsible to tutor individuals/small groups of students in fundamental and advanced areas of writing, including essays, research papers, and other college writing. Responsible for supporting classroom instruction, maintaining records, and supervising use of materials and facilities. Must have the ability to analyze individual student writing needs, develop learning objectives to meet those needs, and monitor student progress Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in English or closely related field is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have knowledge of word processing. Requires an in-depth knowledge of the process approach to writing instruction, as well as excellent grammar and interpersonal/communication skills. Must have the ability to work with students with special needs and students for whom English is a second language.
