Mathnasium of Westwood-River Vale is looking for part-time Math Instructors to work with students in grades K-12. You'll typically work with about three students at a time, helping them build stronger math skills, complete homework, prepare for tests, and become more confident learners. You do not need to be an expert in every level of math. Some of our instructors are strongest with elementary students, while others specialize in middle school or high school math. We'll determine where you're strongest and train you in the Mathnasium teaching method. We're looking for someone who: Enjoys working with children or teenagers Is comfortable with math and willing to complete a math assessment Is patient, dependable, and encouraging Can keep multiple students engaged and on task Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team Can consistently work an after-school schedule Prior experience tutoring, teaching, coaching, working at a camp, childcare, or otherwise working with children is strongly preferred.
