Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Homeschool Teacher / Tutor - Private Family to inspire and support students (ages 3,5,12,14) in their personalized learning journeys. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create engaging, customized lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and educational needs. As a Homeschool Teacher/Tutor, you will foster a positive learning environment, adapt instructional methods to meet individual student requirements, and utilize innovative learning technologies to enhance educational experiences. Your enthusiasm and expertise will empower students to reach their full potential across various subjects, including science, mathematics, English language arts, history and more. Duties Develop comprehensive, tailored curricula that align with educational standards and individual student goals. Deliver engaging online instruction using a variety of learning technologies and digital tools to facilitate interactive lessons. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly. Provide expert tutoring in subjects such as science, mathematics, English language arts, and SAT preparation to strengthen student understanding. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special educational needs, ensuring inclusive education for all students. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, fostering a respectful and motivating environment conducive to active learning. Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate progress, set goals, and address any challenges or concerns promptly. Experience Proven experience in teaching or tutoring students across various age groups, including early childhood education and adult learners. Strong background in curriculum development and instructional adaptability to meet diverse educational needs. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital tools for online instruction. Demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds with sensitivity and understanding. Experience in teaching core subjects such as English language arts, mathematics, science, or special education is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills coupled with effective classroom management techniques. Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred; preschool or early childhood education experience is a plus. Qualifications Prior teaching, tutoring, or homeschool experience Experience working with multiple age groups Strong knowledge across core academic subjects Patient, organized, energetic, and dependable Ability to make learning engaging and personalized Teaching degree/certification preferred but not required Excellent references and background check required
Schedule:
Part-time, approximately 15-25 hours per week
Location:
Las Vegas, NV Compensation:
Competitive and based on experience
Pay:
$20.00 - $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
