Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School English Teacher/Tutor to inspire young learners and foster a love for language and literacy. Duties Design and implement personalized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards while addressing diverse learning styles and needs Deliver effective instruction in English language arts, including reading, writing, comprehension, and literacy education Utilize e-learning platforms and learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate remote or hybrid learning environments Develop curriculum materials that incorporate modern pedagogical approaches and integrate foreign languages such as Mandarin, French, Japanese, or other relevant languages when applicable Manage classroom behavior through proactive classroom management strategies to create a safe, respectful learning space Provide individualized tutoring sessions to support students with disabilities or those requiring extra academic assistance Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, adjusting instruction accordingly Collaborate with parents, special education staff, and other educators to support student development and implement effective accommodations or modifications Qualifications Proven experience working with middle school students in an educational or tutoring setting Strong knowledge of English language arts, literacy education, and instructional adaptability Experience working with students with disabilities and familiarity with special education practices Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques Proficiency in using learning technology, e-learning platforms, and digital tools for instruction Excellent writing skills with the ability to teach writing across various genres and formats Multilingual abilities such as Mandarin, French, Japanese or other foreign languages are a plus Background in early childhood education or preschool experience is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs including those requiring childcare support Familiarity with instructional strategies for working with students with special needs or in inclusive classrooms Join us in shaping the future by empowering young minds through engaging lessons that inspire confidence and foster lifelong learning!
