Job Description

About the Role Ace Academy is seeking passionate ELA and History Tutors/Instructors to support middle and high school students with reading, writing, and social studies skills. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge in English Language Arts and/or History, can communicate ideas clearly, and enjoys helping students develop stronger critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities Teach middle and high school ELA and History courses based on student needs Support students with: Reading comprehension Writing skills and essay development Grammar and vocabulary History and social studies concepts Help students develop critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills Provide support with homework, projects, exams, and advanced coursework Adapt instruction based on student learning needs and academic goals Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Maintain an engaging and supportive learning environment Communicate student progress with the academic team Qualifications Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a related field (English, History, Liberal Arts, Education, or related majors) Strong knowledge of English Language Arts and/or History subjects Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to explain concepts clearly and engage students Passion for education and student development Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching AP-level courses, including: AP English Language AP English Literature AP U.S. History AP World History Other AP Humanities subjects Experience working with middle and high school students Schedule Starting from September, teaching hours will be based on student enrollment and instructor availability. Weekend and after-school availability may be required.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
