Job Description

The Language Arts & Social Studies Tutor will work with HEP students to strengthen reading, writing, comprehension, and social studies knowledge. The goal is to prepare students for high school equivalency exams through individualized teaching strategies and targeted instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tutoring in reading, writing, and social studies for HEP students. Assess students' skills and learning needs. Develop lessons and educational materials tailored to individual students. Monitor academic progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic performance. Collaborate with HEP staff to maximize student success.
Requirements:
Experience in teaching or tutoring language arts and social studies (preferably at secondary or equivalency level). Fluency in Spanish and strong communication skills. Ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Patience, creativity, and dedication to education. Open until filled.
