AVID is a national program that supports students in preparing for and succeeding in rigorous courses from middle school to college. Twice a week, AVID students participate in a 10-step Tutorial process to address points of confusion from their content classes to come to a more complete understanding of their learning. Tutors do not solve the points of confusion but instead facilitate a process to help students come to an understanding on their own.
