Job Description

Position Description Peer Tutors in the Academic Resource Center provide course-specific academic support to fellow undergraduate students. Tutors work collaboratively with peers to clarify complex course material, reinforce foundational concepts, and promote independent learning strategies.

Federal Work Study (FWS) & Eastern Campus Employment (ECE)
Position Responsibilities Academic Support:
Facilitate one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for designated courses.
Skill Development:
Assist students in developing effective study habits, note-taking strategies, and test-preparation skills.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate logs of tutoring sessions and attend mandatory training or staff meetings.
Community Building:
Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging environment that respects diverse learning styles and maintains student confidentiality.
