is looking for a responsible and patient Middle School Tutor who can support students with their regular school coursework, especially in English, Math, and Science . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with middle school students and is comfortable helping students understand their school lessons, complete assignments, prepare for tests, and develop better study habits. The primary goal is to provide general academic support and help students stay on track with their schoolwork. Responsibilities Tutor middle school students in English, Math, and Science Help students understand concepts taught in school Assist with homework, assignments, projects, and test preparation Review class materials and strengthen areas where students need additional support Help students develop good study habits, organization, and time-management skills Explain concepts in a clear, patient, and easy-to-understand way Adjust tutoring methods based on each student's learning needs Communicate professionally with students, parents, and the company when needed Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment Qualifications Strong knowledge of middle school-level English, Math, and Science Ability to tutor multiple subjects Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, responsible, organized, and dependable Comfortable working with middle school students Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or childcare experience is preferred College students, graduate students, teachers, and experienced tutors are welcome to apply Ability to provide both in-person and online tutoring is preferred Current Scheduling Needs We are currently looking for tutors who may be available for:
Weekends:
Approximately 2-3 hours per day on
Saturday and Sunday Weekdays:
Approximately two online tutoring sessions per week Schedules may vary depending on individual student needs. Location & Teaching Format In-person tutoring opportunities are primarily located in the Cambridge/Boston area Online tutoring may also be required Candidates who are comfortable with both in-person and online tutoring are preferred Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience, qualifications, and the subjects taught.
