We have a family in this area looking for early literacy support and fine-motor skill practice (pencil grasp, writing) for a first grade child . The child also needs practice with completing tasks and staying on task. For this assignment, you would work with the family once per week in their home during after school hours. Tutoring may continue through the summer in preparation for transition to second grade. We can also match you with additional students according to your availability and skill set.•We specialize in one-on-one tutoring , providing personalized support to students in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Portsmouth. We serve students of all ages, pre-K through college/adult, and across subjects. 95% of tutoring sessions take place in students' homes or at convenient public locations like libraries. A small number of families also prefer online sessions via Zoom , so comfort with technology is a plus. This is most common with high school students taking advanced subjects and would not apply to this particular student. We do the hard part for you—we coordinate and match you with pre-screened clients , handle all scheduling logistics, and guarantee your pay. Tutors are paid via direct deposit twice a month, so there's no need to negotiate rates or collect payments. Our tutors are experienced professionals—most are licensed educators or specialists with deep expertise in their subjects. We also welcome retired teachers and qualified professionals with teaching or mentoring experience. Are you able to coach students on "soft skills"•executive functioning, organization, task management, study habits, test-taking strategies, etc.?
