We are looking for tutors who: Want to foster equitable and inclusive classrooms Are passionate about helping youth succeed and grow Will be culturally responsive people who can support students from all backgrounds Build relationships across lines of differences, acting with empathy and compassion Are committed to serving their community Can be flexible and problem-solve in the dynamic school environment Will communicate and collaborate effectively with educators In this position you will: Support grades 1-5 in math and reading, mostly in small groups, at Daniel Bagley Elementary (7821 Stone Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103). Assist teachers and other school staff with group instruction, classroom activities, and special projects Build valuable leadership, collaboration, and communication skills Develop professional relationships with faculty, staff, and TIPS administration Receive paid training on Race & Equity in Education, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Student Engagement & Management, creating Inclusive & Welcoming School Environments, Social Emotional Learning strategies, and more! Get paid $25.50/hour Accrue paid sick leave
