Position Description Department Information
The purpose of intramural sports program at Bridgewater State University is to provide recreation, exercise, and most of all fun to all of our participants. Intramural sports enhance the academic experience by allowing participants to gain important aspects of daily life including teamwork, respect, integrity, competition, and personal accomplishment. Position Information
The Intramural Official is primarily responsible for enforcing the rules of the game and the policies and procedures of the Intramural program. Intramural officials will assist other staff in the set up and tear down of each facility and activity. Intramural officials must have knowledge of all intramural rules, customer service skills, willingness to learn and conflict resolution. This position reports to and works with the Coordinator of Intramural Sports, Student Intramural Supervisor, as well as other members of the Intramural staff. In absence of professional staff, the Intramural Official is supervised by the Intramural Supervisor on duty.
