Job Description

Description The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for Volleyball Officials for our Parks and Recreation Department . This position officiate and record scores of volleyball (indoor and sand) matches and administer games in a professional and responsible manner according to Parks & Recreation guidelines. Games will be held in the evenings. Examples of Duties Depending on the specific position, may include: overseeing sports games; serving as the on-site representative to handle game-related problems, supervising program staff, keeping records. Depending on the specific position, may require officiating experience, basic or thorough knowledge of the applicable sport and ability to teach, and supervisory experience. Typical Qualifications Excellent communication skills necessary. Depending on the specific position, may require officiating experience, basic or thorough knowledge of the applicable sport and ability to teach, and supervisory experience. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. Must be 16 years of age; thorough knowledge of USAV and/or national federation volleyball rules preferred, MSHSAA certification strongly preferred, or membership in a recognized officials' association preferred. Supplemental Information Volleyball Officials are paid $22 per match. EEO-M/F/D/V
