Monitor and regulate games/matches to ensure conformance with rules and regulations of the sport, as well as any rules specific to Ozarks Regional YMCA.Take initiative to greet and assist all members, potential members, program participants and volunteers in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner. Be enthusiastic towards members by learning their names and expressing an interest in their YMCA activities.
Stop play when necessary and explain violations consistently and fairly.
Know, demonstrate, and interpret YMCA philosophy to players, parents, and coaches.
Report injuries to Program Director, follows safety procedures and guidelines.
Must demonstrate the ability to work well with adults and children of all ages as well as parents and coaches.
Works closely with the Program Director to address concerns of staff and/or members/participants.
Must demonstrate the ability to control all aspects of the game that you are officiating.
Possess the ability to work with varying ages and to manage large groups.
Attends and participates in other YMCA program activities as needed, staff meetings, and trainings.
Ability to work flexible hours as program needs arise. Submit records and scores to supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under the direction and guidance of the Program Director, consistent with the YMCA mission and its core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring, the Youth Sports Official will serve as a culture cultivator, an impartial on-field coach, and an advocate for our programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be knowledgeable and adhere to Safety Policies, Procedures and Emergency Response Plans. Always keeping Safety at the forefront of your mind.
