Job Description
The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description The Commission is seeking resumes from attorneys interested in serving as referees. Pursuant to Judiciary Law § 499-e, the Commission may designate a member of the bar who is not a prosecutor or a member of the commission or its staff as a referee to hear and report to the commission in accordance with Judiciary Law § 499-f. The Commission may also designate a referee to be present at the testimony given by a prosecutor. The Commission seeks resumes from candidates who have at least 15 years of practice and are licensed in New York State. Pursuant to Judiciary Law § 499-e, current prosecutors cannot serve as referees.
