Baseball Umpire

Duties Officiate baseball games by enforcing rules, making accurate calls on plays, and maintaining game flow. Communicate clearly with players, coaches, officials, and spectators to explain decisions and promote understanding. Manage conflicts or disputes on the field with professionalism and calmness to ensure a respectful environment. Prepare for each game by reviewing rules, understanding team lineups, and setting up necessary equipment. Monitor player safety during games and address any unsafe behavior or situations promptly. Keep accurate records of game scores, incidents, and rule violations when required. Promote sportsmanship by encouraging respectful interactions among all participants.

Qualifications Meet Training Requirements:

Training is provided. Passion for baseball or sports officiating with a strong understanding of the game's rules. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, officials, and spectators. Experience in sports coaching or working with children is highly desirable. Ability to manage conflicts calmly and fairly while maintaining authority on the field. Physical stamina to stand, walk, or move around for extended periods during games. Prior experience as a baseball umpire or in sports officiating is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. A positive attitude with a commitment to promoting teamwork, respect, and fun in youth sports. Pay:

$24.63 - $29.66 per hour

Prior experience not required but helpful 9. Be willing to undergo training and on the job mentorship 10. Be willing to undergo a background check if designated to work with minors
