Responsibilities Enforce game rules and regulations accurately during youth basketball matches to promote fair play and sportsmanship Make quick, confident decisions on plays, fouls, and game flow while maintaining a positive attitude Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators to ensure understanding of calls and game procedures Manage conflicts or disputes on the court professionally and calmly to maintain a safe playing environment Monitor player behavior to uphold safety standards and promote respectful interactions among participants Assist in setting up equipment, verifying team rosters, and preparing the court before games begin Provide feedback or guidance to young players to encourage good sportsmanship and skill development Experience Prior experience in flag football, soccer, volleyball or sports coaching is preferred but not required ; enthusiasm for working with children is essential Training is provided Strong knowledge of desired sports rules and gameplay fundamentals Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with youth athletes, coaches, parents, and fellow officials Ability to manage conflicts with professionalism and patience in a lively environment Comfortable working outdoors or in gymnasium settings during scheduled game times This paid position is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about sports, youth development, and creating memorable experiences for young athletes.
