MSCR offers a wide variety of athletic, recreational, arts and enrichment activities and classes for all ages in an accessible, inclusive setting. Programs include swimming instruction, MSCR on the Move, arts & enrichment classes, youth summer camps, sports camps & clinics, adult & 50+ fitness, adult sport leagues including pickleball, softball and tennis, and a wide variety of outdoor pursuits including paddling sports, pontoon trips, camping, orienteering and challenge courses. As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD), MSCR also provides afterschool enrichment activities, clubs and sports as well as summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools, Allied Learning Center and Meadowood Neighborhood Center.

Program Description:

MSCR's Youth Flag Football league is a fun, positive program for players in grades 2nd-5th, divided into two age groups: 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th. The league emphasizes teaching the fundamentals of football in a supportive environment. Youth Flag Football Officials play a key role in fostering this positive atmosphere.

Job Description & Duties:

Officiate games for second- through fifth-grade flag football league games. Manage the clock and enforce MSCR's flag football league rules. Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants during games. Attend mandatory training for new officials (provided by MSCR).

2-6 games per week ($34 per game).

Work hours:

5:00pm-7:00pm

Payrate:

34.00 - 34.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

Background in flag football (preferred, but willingness to learn is a plus). Experience working with elementary-aged children. Working knowledge of Flag Football rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Officiating experience (any sport) is a plus. WIAA Football Referee Certification Strong understanding of fair play and sportsmanship. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
