  • Position Summary:
  • The School of Education seeks applications from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Educator Preparation program for the 2026-2027 academic year. Instructors teach undergraduate pre-service teaching courses in one or more areas of: + PreK
  • Grade 3: Early Childhood Education + Kindergarten
  • Grade 12: Art, Foreign Languages, Instructional Technology; Music + Secondary
  • Grades 7-12: Agricultural Education, Business Education, English, Family and Consumer Studies, Marketing Education, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Speech, Technology Education.
Desirable candidates can teach these courses face-to-face, online, on-campus, and in local schools in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.   • Salary Range:
  • $48,000
  • $50,000
  • Compensation:
  • $1,666.67 per credit hour instruction / $50,000 annual base salary
  • Conditions of Employment
  • Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires).
  • Required Job Qualifications:
  • + Earned masters degree in education or a related field. + P-12 teaching license and/or a minimum of 3 years professional work experience in P-12 teaching or administration.
  • Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • + Earned doctorate degree in education or a related field.
+ Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students using face-to-face and distance technologies. + Evidence of successful collaboration with public school teachers and administrators. + Experience in course development. + Evidence of or potential for scholarship and publication commensurate with a research university (high research activity).
