Job Description

KinderCare is seeking a Lead Teacher for Dr Phillips Elementary to design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. In this role, you will guide a classroom of elementary-aged children, fostering social, emotional, and academic growth in a safe, nurturing environment. You will develop lesson plans, track student progress, and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs. As a classroom leader, you'll mentor assistants, collaborate with families and colleagues, uphold safety and licensing standards, and model KinderCare's inclusive, growth-focused culture each day. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with learning objectives and standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that supports each child's social, emotional, and academic growth. Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Communicate regularly with families about student development, classroom activities, and goals. Mentor and guide assistant teachers and support staff in daily classroom operations. Maintain classroom routines, behavior expectations, and procedures to ensure a positive learning environment. Ensure compliance with school, district, and state regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with school leaders and colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and enrichment activities. Document student learning through observations, portfolios, and progress reports. Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
