The foundation of St. Mark's program is to provide students with balanced exposure to academics, arts, athletics, and spiritual life. Position Summary St. Mark's Episcopal School is conducting a search for a dynamic educator to serve as a Part-time Christian Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The Christian Education Teacher is responsible for instructing students in various aspects of the Christian faith, and creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment where students can grow in their understanding of Christian principles and values. Qualified candidates should have the following competencies:
  • An understanding of Christian principles and values
  • An ability to establish and maintain strong home-to-school partnerships
  • Professional and polished interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Proficiency in educational technology Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching Christian education classes
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with Christian education principles
  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes spiritual growth and character development
  • Preparing students for weekly chapel services
  • Collaborating with church leaders and teachers Professional Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum bachelor's degree
  • Strong commitment to the Christian faith and values
  • Experience in teaching or working with youth in a Christian educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into Christian education
