$44,998.81 - $73,287.92 The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Instructor 3 at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

$44,998.81 - $73,287.92 Job Responsibilities Under broad supervision, the Instructor 3 develops and delivers educational instruction to individuals receiving services within a state healthcare, educational, rehabilitation, or similar facility.
Responsibilities may include:
Develops curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials appropriate for the individuals served. Provides classroom and individualized instruction based on identified educational needs and abilities. Adapts teaching methods and utilizes specialized instructional techniques to support different learning styles and individual needs. Develops and implements individualized instructional plans. Evaluates individual progress and adjusts instructional strategies as needed. Provides tutoring and additional educational assistance when appropriate. Maintains accurate educational records, documentation, progress reports, and other required reports. Participates in the development and review of educational goals and objectives. Works collaboratively with other staff members and interdisciplinary team members to support individual treatment and educational goals. Maintains an organized and supportive learning environment. Ensures instructional activities are conducted in accordance with applicable DBHDD, facility, and State of Georgia policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and eligibility to obtain at least a Georgia teacher's associate professional fourth-year certificate; OR Current, appropriate Georgia teacher's fourth-year certificate in the area of assignment; OR One year of experience at the lower-level Instructor 2 (EDP021) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Current Georgia teaching certification in an area relevant to the assignment. Experience providing instruction in a behavioral health, developmental disabilities, healthcare, rehabilitation, or similar setting. Experience developing individualized instructional or educational plans. Demonstrated ability to modify teaching methods to accommodate different learning needs and abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and educational progress records. Experience working effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
