Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher specializing in Classical Education to join our vibrant learning community. In this role, you will inspire young learners through a rich, Hillsdale classical curriculum that emphasizes the development of critical thinking, moral character, and a love for lifelong learning. Your energetic approach will foster a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to uphold high educational standards aligned with classical pedagogical principles. Duties Design and deliver dynamic lessons rooted in classical education philosophy, integrating subjects such as literature, history, mathematics, science, and the arts. Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning styles and individual student needs. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences. Monitor and assess student performance through formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing and performance data analysis. Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior management logs, and lesson plans in compliance with educational regulations. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management strategies and behavior guidance techniques. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, challenges, and developmental milestones via parent-teacher conferences and written reports. Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, school events, and professional growth initiatives such as mentoring or teacher collaboration programs. Incorporate special education strategies when working with students with autism or other learning differences to ensure inclusive classroom practices. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, early childhood education, Montessori methods, or other relevant pedagogies. Experience Prior classroom experience teaching elementary school students within a classical or similar educational setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and curriculum implementation tailored to early childhood or elementary levels. Proven ability to work with young children using differentiated instruction techniques that accommodate various learning styles. Experience integrating educational technology tools for instruction and student engagement. Strong background in behavior management strategies and classroom management best practices. Familiarity with special education needs including working with children with autism or requiring early intervention services is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and team collaboration. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures, child development principles, literacy education methods, math instruction strategies, and educational compliance standards is essential. Pay:
$50,252.00 – $72,827.00 per year
