Qualifications and Preferred Background:

Valid teaching license and Professional Educator License (PEL) requiredsubstitute licensure not accepted Health science endorsement preferred (will also consider strong backgrounds in chemistry, anatomy, or related sciences) Experience teaching general science or health science at the middle school level is highly desirable Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with junior high students Ability to collaborate with fellow educators to create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement compelling health science curriculum aligned with state standards Teach a diverse caseload of junior high students through interactive lectures, labs, and activities Assess and monitor student progress, adapting instruction to meet varying learning needs Maintain a positive, organized, and safe learning environment Collaborate with school staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning and support student success Fulfill contract hours totaling 33.75 hours per week onsiteremote or virtual instruction is not an option
