What We're Looking For:
Strong background in teaching science at the high school level Current, active Louisiana Department of Education teacher certification (no TAT or in-progress licenses considered) Comfortable working full-time (35 hours/week), Monday through Friday in alignment with a school calendar Flexible and adaptable—number of school site assignments and caseload will be confirmed prior to placement Willing to fulfill strict credentialing requirements, including district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting
Your Role Will Include:
Delivering dynamic science instruction for general education high school students Developing lesson plans that engage learners and promote understanding of key science concepts Assessing student performance and providing timely feedback to support academic growth Collaborating with school staff and administration to maintain an effective classroom environment Attending professional development and required district meetings as scheduled Fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
