Desired Qualifications:

Active Louisiana Department of Education Certification (standard, not temporary authority) Current credentialing ready to go; candidates in the process of licensing cannot be considered High school science teaching experience preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and academically stimulating environment Ability to adapt lessons to suit diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging general science lessons for high school students Monitor student progress and provide feedback, assessments, and support as needed Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives Maintain accurate records and support school goals and academic standards Ensure all district and state compliance, including prompt completion of required drug screening and fingerprinting
