Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an elementary general education teacher in a vibrant school setting near New Orleans, LA. This full-time, school-year role allows you to inspire young minds while working collaboratively with fellow educators in a dynamic academic environment. In this position, you'll provide instruction and support to elementary-aged students, developing lesson plans that foster engagement, creativity, and a love of learning. You'll have a strong foundation to implement curriculum standards and classroom management strategies that help each child succeed.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate (
Required:
no TATmust be fully licensed and ready to begin) Previous experience as a general education teacher in an elementary setting is desirable Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and school assignments as needed Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to successfully complete all background checks, including a district-specific drug screen and fingerprints
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction to elementary students across multiple subjects Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom culture Create and implement lesson plans aligned with state academic standards Monitor student progress and communicate with families as needed Participate in faculty meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to maximize student achievement
