To Be Determined Job Description Provide vocational training and instruction to young adults with complex language, learning, and cognitive disabilities.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide instruction of vocational skills
  • Engage in on-the-job training in a variety of industries and occupations
  • Adapt job skill training to meet the individual needs of students
  • Collaborate and communicate with community partners to facilitate a mutually beneficial partnership
  • Collect individual student data weekly
  • Report on student progress quarterly
  • Other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with learning and intellectual disabilities
  • Willingness to engage in professional development to gain the knowledge necessary to effectively work with the Riverview student profile
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the School mission and adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Related experience (experience in an independent school environment preferred)
  • Strong ability to incorporate technology into instruction
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for Riverview's mission and the field of special education
  • Current/valid driver's license and ability to drive students
  • Suitable background check results (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting required
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
Experience:
  • One to two years' experience working with students with learning and intellectual disabilities
  • Related experience (experience in an independent school environment preferred)
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Current/valid driver's license and ability to drive students
  • Suitable background check results (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting required
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
