Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire and empower the next generation by joining a dynamic high school math department for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position invites an energetic, dedicated educator to deliver engaging instruction and meaningful support to students in a vibrant academic setting. As a math teacher working with high school students, you'll collaborate with fellow educators, foster a positive learning environment, and adapt lessons to meet the diverse academic needs of your classroom. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current Michigan Teaching Certificate with Math Endorsement (please include valid license/certifications when applying) Experience teaching high school mathematics (grades 9-12 preferred) Comprehensive understanding of high school math curriculum, instructional strategies, and classroom management Ability to create inclusive, engaging classroom experiences for a wide range of learners Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver daily math instruction aligned with school standards and student needs Develop engaging lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction as necessary Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student growth and classroom initiatives Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievement, and behavior Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning atmosphere This position offers a contract beginning August 24, 2026 and running through June 4, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week in a collaborative academic setting.
