This contract position supports a diverse group of 19 eager learners for the rest of the academic year. What youll bring:
Valid Michigan teaching certification in elementary education Prior classroom teaching experience, ideally in grades K-3 Passion for student engagement and fostering inclusive learning environments Strong classroom management and organizational skills Commitment to collaborating with colleagues, staff, and families Your responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored for 2nd-grade learners Foster a welcoming, productive classroom climate that celebrates diversity Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet their needs Communicate regularly with families about student development Contribute to grade-level and staff meetings, supporting school initiatives Details & schedule: Position runs through the end of the school year Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:35 a.m. to 3:28 p.m. (32.5 hours weekly, with a half-hour unpaid lunch) Class size is 19 students, with a contractual maximum of 28 If you thrive on making meaningful connections and nurturing student potential, this opportunity is for you.
