Job Description
Overview Massage Therapy Instructor & Clinic Supervision Positions (Part‑Time | In‑Person) Lansing, MI We offer a State of Michigan-licensed, NCBTMB‑assigned massage therapy program with a 100 % MBLEX pass rate. We offer small cohorts and a mentorship‑rich environment that blends evidence‑informed techniques with holistic principles. We're expanding our instructional team to deliver our upcoming fall program and future cohorts, and are seeking passionate educators who can guide students through our curriculum while helping them develop the hands‑on skills and knowledge to pass the MBLEX exam.
What You'll Do Teach & Mentor:
Deliver engaging, hands‑on lessons covering anatomy, physiology, massage techniques, ethics and clinical skills. Use our curriculum, PowerPoint slides and assignments while adding your professional expertise to ensure students become skilled, confident therapists.
Plan Daily Lessons:
Prepare and adapt lesson plans and homework based on program objectives and student needs; create a supportive classroom environment that inspires curiosity and mastery.
Assess & Support:
Conduct practical assessments, provide constructive feedback, and help students develop the knowledge and confidence to excel on the MBLEX exam.
Collaborate:
Participate in weekly meetings with the program director to report on student progress, coordinate schedules and maintain curriculum quality.
Classroom instruction or clinic supervision:
Adjunct Instructor (5-20 hrs/week): Teach select class days and supervise clinic shifts, provide backup and substitute as needed. Coordinate with adjunct instructors and ensure student success and program milestones are met.
Clinic Supervisors:
Consistent weekly shifts or join our pool of on‑call instructors to step in for occasional class or clinic coverage.
Program & Schedule Fall Program:
October
•March (with a potential for future cohorts for the right candidates).
Classes:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 8:30 AM
• 3:30
PM Clinic:
Evenings 3:00 PM
• 7:30 PM Occasional Saturday clinics may be added later in the program to meet graduation hour requirements. Qualifications Current Michigan LMT license with at least 3 years of professional experience. Deep knowledge of anatomy & physiology and proven hands‑on skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to motivate and mentor adult learners. Teaching experience preferred; we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong mentorship abilities and passion for education.
Compensation & Incentives Adjunct Instructors:
Starting at $24-28, based on availability and experience.
Clinic Supervision:
$20
