Job Description

The Department of Experiential Engineering Education (ExEEd) at Rowan University is seeking adjunct faculty with a strong interest and qualified expertise in teaching introductory engineering and engineering design courses. Our anticipated needs in the upcoming semesters are the First-Year and Sophomore Engineering Clinics. These are hands-on, multidisciplinary engineering courses taught in a team-based, project-oriented environment. ExEEd's strengths include small class sizes, strong student-faculty interactions, and a collaborative and supportive working and learning environment. We seek outstanding candidates with a demonstrated commitment to student learning and well-being. We value candidates who promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Candidates should have earned at least a Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline or closely related field, and prior teaching experience is preferred. Note:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position. In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act , and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
