Job Description

Pathfinder Village, a dynamic, open-access residential community for children and adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, is seeking to fill the following positions in accordance with Pathfinder's mission "that each life may find meaning." Pathfinder Village is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). The Culinary Instructor leads daily food preparation and culinary instruction at The Farmstead at Pathfinder Village. This hands-on position is responsible for preparing soups, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and other market offerings while providing instruction, coaching, and practical skill development to employees and program participants. The Culinary Instructor creates a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment while maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Some duties include:
Teaching culinary skills through hands-on instruction and daily food preparation activities Adapt teaching methods to support individuals with varying skill levels and learning styles Develop and facilitate culinary classes, demonstrations, and training opportunities Assist with meal planning and product development Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required:
1 year culinary experience
Preferred:
Experience with recipe development and food production The hourly rate of pay is $20 and commensurate with experience. Located in Edmeston, NY, USA.
