A Set or Exhibit Designer designs display booths or exhibits for museums, galleries or trade shows. Develops drawings and plans to accommodate the specific space, lighting and temperature requirements of materials to be exhibited; builds or supervises building of exhibits. Designs stage sets and scenery for performances, primarily for live theater performances, or sets for filmed performances or for events such as press conferences. Works with directors and producers to plan props and materials needed for a show.

Job Description

Pathfinder Village, a dynamic, open-access residential community for children and adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, is seeking to fill the following positions in accordance with Pathfinder's mission "that each life may find meaning." The Coordinator of Enrichment and Community Life supports each individual's participation in recreation, leisure, and educational activities at Pathfinder Village as well as in the broader community to facilitate a healthy and productive lifestyle. The Coordinator of Enrichment and Community Life will collaborate with residential, school, Otsego Academy, Camp Pathfinder, nursing, and adult day services to develop, organize, and lead creative and cultural enrichment programs in the areas of arts, music, theater, and other related disciplines. This role involves creating a dynamic, inclusive, and engaging environment for participants, fostering artistic expression and personal growth. The Enrichment Coordinator will design programs that cater to the interests and abilities of the individuals served, ensuring accessibility and diversity in the offerings. This position is ideal for someone passionate about the arts, with experience in program development, instruction, and community engagement. Qualifications Required High school diploma and 2 years' equivalent experience Valid NYS driver's license (without restrictions) Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed Preferred Bachelor's degree in art, music, theatre, arts education, or a related field Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Hourly rate ranges from $20 to $22 an hour and is commensurate with experience.
