Job Description

Pathfinder Village, a dynamic, open-access residential community for children and adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, is seeking to fill the following positions in accordance with Pathfinder's mission "that each life may find meaning." The Assistant Ancillary Team Leader/Cook will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of food preparation in the Central Kitchen, housekeeping duties, and Cooper Transport services have been accomplished on a daily basis.
Duties include:
Providing meals for school students and day staff Providing management, supervision, assignments, guidance, and direction to staff within the dietary department in the absence of the Ancillary Team Leader. Ensuring all regulations set forth by the NYS Health Department are continuously met Assisting with inventory and supply ordering for housekeeping and dietary. Management of on the job training of new staff, prevocational participants, and interns, including ongoing professional development and evaluations. Overseeing meals, refreshments, services, and staffing for special events. Required Qualifications 1+ year's experience in food service, long term or acute care dietary is preferred High school diploma or equivalency. Valid NYS Driver's license The hourly rate of pay starts at $18 an hour and is commensurate with experience.
