Responsibilities Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate cooking curricula that promote healthy eating habits and culinary skills Lead interactive cooking classes, demonstrating techniques and guiding students through recipes in a safe, inclusive manner Manage classroom activities efficiently, ensuring all students are actively involved and adhering to safety protocols Incorporate creative arts elements such as food presentation, plating, and themed cooking projects to enhance learning experiences Collaborate with school staff to coordinate special events like cooking demonstrations, competitions, or themed workshops Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage skill development and confidence Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and sanitized Qualifications Proven experience in culinary arts or cooking instruction, preferably with children or youth programs Strong background in curriculum development tailored for school-age learners Experience working with children, demonstrating patience, adaptability, and excellent classroom management skills Knowledge of childhood development principles related to hands-on learning activities Familiarity with teaching visual arts such as food styling or presentation techniques is a plus Skills in choreography or dance instruction are beneficial for integrating movement into lessons or themed activities Experience with theater or musical instruments can enhance creative storytelling during lessons Ability to teach various arts including sewing or photography related to food styling is advantageous Prior experience in teaching arts or performing arts can enrich the culinary education experience Certification or training in food safety and sanitation standards is preferred This role offers an exciting opportunity to blend culinary expertise with creative arts instruction while making a meaningful impact on students' lives.
