Manufacturing today drives all other technologies and is bringing the trade skills of the past and joining them with the technology of today and the future. Anyone can become a part of this fast-growing field with Sinclair's Computer Aided Manufacturing programs. The Computer Aided Manufacturing Department is currently seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Machining courses for the upcoming term. The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach. For the full list of available courses to teach, please explore our course catalog . This position is open only to applicants who reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky , or who are able to perform work within one of these states. Principal Accountabilities Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student's needs Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning Maintain accurate records of student progress Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines Maintain confidentiality of student information Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester Requirements Minimum of a bachelor's degree in the Computer Aided Manufacturing or related field required, OR must meet the specific requirements associated withTested Experience Tested Experience Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required AND Must have widely accepted license or certification in the industry (ex. Journeyman card) required AND Must have a minimum of five years of work experience in the field required Collegiate or university teaching experience specifically teaching a course in the field preferred Precision machining and CNC machining experience preferred Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies shown to help students succeed at the course and program level Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work successfully in a culturally diverse college community Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology, including multimedia-based instruction Official transcripts for all post-secondary degrees (if applicable) and successful completion of a background check will be required prior to date of hire.Benefits
