Educational Aide (Paraprofessional) The Licking Regional Educational Service Center is seeking an Educational Aide (Paraprofessional) to provide supports to classrooms serving Special Needs students in the Heath City School District. Candidates should be team oriented, have a desire to learn new things and be willing to take instruction. Self-motivation is highly desired as are honesty, integrity and confidentiality.General Description:
The educational Aide's primary role is to assist the teacher in the delivery of effective educational experiences to children.Qualifications:
•Paraprofessional applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Educational Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education. To apply for this credential, please visit the Ohio Department of Education website at http://education.ohio.gov or contact the Educational Service Center office at 740-754-1442 to obtain instructions. Upon hire you will be required to take the Paraprofessional PRAXIS test unless you hold an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution of higher education; or at least two years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours) in which case, you can choose to add the ESEA endorsement to the Educational Aide Permit after uploading your transcripts into yourOH:
ID account. Applicants must be willing to complete a BCI and FBI background check. Salary will be based on experience and licensure.
