In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster positive behavior, and support the developmental needs of children from infancy through preschool age. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay a strong foundation for children's lifelong learning, social skills, and emotional well-being. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction to individual needs via Teaching Strategies Gold. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student observations, attendance, and assessments. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and preschool teaching methodologies. Experience working with children across various age groups, especially toddlers and preschoolers. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention techniques to support diverse learners. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is preferred to ensure child safety at all times. Experience with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education settings. Skills in teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development. Understanding of child welfare policies, daycare regulations, and private school standards related to early education.
